Getting into shape and shedding a few pounds can really help you when it comes to racing. Specially if you are doing something like sprint car racing or dirt bike racing where weight can make a huge difference in how you perform.
Let’s face in today world it’s pretty easy to pack on a few pounds specially over the winter months. All of the fast food outlets on every corner can make it tough to drop a few pounds before race season.
An effective way to lose a few extra pounds is to first start out small. Cut out off simple sugars and reduce your calories by 500 a day for the first few weeks. Just doing this simple little step will help you shed a few pounds. Next take a few extra walks a week and continue with no sugar and drop your calorie intake by another 500 just be sure to stay above 1800. Next start cutting out nasty carbohydrates and replace them with good clean carbs such as brown rice, oats, or even red potatoes.
Now you are ready to start looking at a few supplements to help you drop those last few pounds of winter weight. The first supplement you will want to get it a good protein powder.
